About Puppies
Puppies spend the overwhelming majority of their days sleeping. They are born without teeth and it takes about a month for them to get their first set of teeth.
Puppies are born without all of their senses working. A newborn puppy cannot hear or see until they are nearly 2 full weeks old! Most puppies don't open their eyes until after this initial 2 week period.
Fortunately puppies are born with their sense of smell. It is their noses that allow them to find their way back to their mother!
How to Draw a Cute Puppy
Step 1: Outline the Head
Outline the head of the cute puppy by drawing a rounded shape.
Step 2: Form the Face
To form the face of the cute puppy, first draw two shaded circles for the eyes. Next, draw a rounded triangle and attach two curvy lines at the bottom to form the upper jaw. Attach a line curving upwards to form the rest of the mouth.
Step 3: Attach the Ears
Attach two bumpy shapes to the head of the puppy to form its ears.
Step 4: Draw the Body
Form the body of the puppy by drawing an elongated oval. Attach a small bumpy C-shape at the end to draw the tail.
Step 5: Add the Legs
Let's add some legs to the puppy by drawing four limbs attached to the body similar to the illustration. Don't forget to add curvy lines at the ends of the legs to emphasize its toes.
Step 6: Complete the Cute Puppy Drawing
Let's give life to our fluffy little puppy by first using a red crayon to fill in the mouth. Next, use a dark brown crayon to shade the nose of the puppy. Finally, let's color the fluffy fur of our cute puppy drawing with a brown crayon.
